My name is Anastasios Vasileiadis, and I am a professional Penetration Tester specializing in the analysis and assessment of information systems security. I studied Computer Science at the IEK of Sidirokastro, where I gained a solid foundation in the field of cybersecurity. Since my graduation, I have acquired knowledge in certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Throughout my professional career, I have collaborated with various companies in the field of information security, undertaking penetration testing of network and web applications. At Octagonsec, where I currently work as a Senior Penetration Tester, I am responsible for developing and executing penetration tests, as well as presenting detailed vulnerability reports and improvement recommendations to our clients. Additionally, I train and mentor the junior testers on our team, contributing to their skill development and the effective execution of our projects.
I love my job because it allows me to explore and deeply understand systems and applications, seeking ways to improve their security. I am passionate about continuous learning and keeping up with advancements in the cybersecurity field, participating in conferences, security competitions (such as CTF), and contributing to open-source projects. My goal is always to stay ahead of threats and help my clients protect their data and infrastructures from potential attacks.
In my free time, I enjoy reading technical books and writing articles for specialized security blogs, sharing my knowledge and experiences with the broader community. My work as a Penetration Tester is more than just a job for me - it is a continuous challenge and an opportunity for constant growth and improvement.
